Career Lounge

The Career Development Center's Career Lounge will be available from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the evenings Monday through Thursday. It is our vision that the Career Lounge will serve as a welcoming and inspiring space for students to come after the traditional 8-5 work hours for study, small group work, and/or a respite. We ask that our guests limit food and drink consumption in the space.

Career Studio

Career Studio is open until 6:00 pm Monday to Thursday. The Career Studio is your first touch point for peer-to-peer career advising! The Career Studio provides a casual and accessible environment for students to talk about, work on, and get help with their career materials and questions from Career Guides. You can get assistance with:

  • Resume Development and Reviews
  • Cover Letter Development and Reviews
  • How to use Handshake and LinkedIn
  • Free Professional Headshots
  • Job Searching Skills and Tips

Career Development After Hours

Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 6:00 pm we will offer Career Development After Hours, an hour each night to introduce a topic related to career and professional development. Students can register in advance through Handshake or just join the gathering. We encourage small clubs and organizations that are interested in having a career or professional development program to see what topics are being presented in After Hours and join any of our scheduled programs or contact us to tailor an After Hours program for the group during the 6:00 to 7:00 timeframe. To view and preregister for our After Hours programs, please check Handshake for the events.

Interview Room Reservations

After 5:00 PM, the interview rooms are available as study space if they are not needed for interviews. Interview use always takes precedence over general study use. You can reserve a room here. Recurring reservations are not permitted. Please limit yourself to no more than two active reservations at a time.

As with any campus room reservation, you are expected and obligated to be respectful of the space. Please note that technology support and assistance is not available and you will need to bring your own laptop. Food is not allowed in the rooms. Please do not damage any elements of the room or leave the room in disarray. Please make sure to observe the times specified in your request as there may be other reservations for the space, and they will need to be inspected and cleaned before the next user arrives. The Career Development Center reserves the right to refuse future reservations to people who do not respect the space.
