The Career Development Center hosts a variety of career events and programs throughout the year to connect students with potential employers. These career fairs and events provide students with the opportunity to network, access numerous jobs and internships, and can even lead to  an interview afterwards. Students who need professional clothing can drop by the Career Development Center in Plemmons Student Union to browse a variety of professional clothing items housed in the Center’s Look Smart Clothing Closet. Clothing items from the event are free to take, and there is no expectation that students bring them back. We have a variety of blazers, dresses, blouses, button-ups, pants, skirts, etc., in a wide range of sizes. This will be a drop-in event, so students can come and go as they please at the time that best suits them.

The Construction, Design, and Renewable Energy Technology Career Fair is an essential tool for networking, landing an internship, or getting hired for full-time employment! This targeted fair for students in the STBE discipline is open to all class levels. There will be more than 100 employers, with hundreds of internship and job opportunities for you!

The career fair is also a great opportunity to practice your career-readiness skills, like honing your networking skills, researching what employers are looking for in top candidates, and exploring majors and careers across different industries and job types.

Students should bring a resume with them to the fair. Make an appointment with your career coach or use our drop-in Career Studio hours (M-TH from 2-6pm) to get help creating or updating your resume.

Professional or business casual dress is also encouraged.

Appalachian State University’s Education Career Fair connects school administrators, superintendents, and other education-focused employers with talented students and alumni from the Reich College of Education. Employers will be recruiting for positions in education and related fields.

Nearly 100 employers will be in attendance, offering a wide range of internship and job opportunities. As a student interested in the field of education, you’ll have the chance to engage with public, private, and charter school districts from across North Carolina and beyond, along with additional organizations seeking passionate professionals to join the education workforce.

This event is also a valuable opportunity to build your career readiness—practice your networking skills, learn what employers are looking for in top candidates, and explore different roles and pathways within the education field.

Students are encouraged to bring a resume. For assistance, schedule an appointment with your career coach or stop by our drop-in Career Studio (Monday–Thursday, 2–6 p.m.). Professional or business casual attire is recommended. Some employers may conduct interviews following the fair, so come prepared to make a strong impression!
