Bring career readiness directly into your classroom. The Career Development Center offers tailored presentations designed to connect your students’ academic work with their professional development. Our staff can visit your class and present on a wide range of career-related topics to prepare students for their next steps.
What We Offer
Our presentations are interactive, practical, and can be adapted to fit the needs of your course or student group. Topics include:

Career Exploration – Discover how interests, skills, and values align with majors and career options.

Resumes & Cover Letters – Learn how to create strong, targeted application documents that make a positive first impression.

Job & Internship Searching – Get strategies for finding part-time, internship, and full-time opportunities, including how to use Handshake.

Networking – Explore ways to build professional connections through alumni, career fairs, LinkedIn, and informational interviews.

Interviewing – Practice key techniques to prepare for behavioral and traditional interview questions.

Graduate School Preparation – Guidance on researching programs, application materials, and requesting references.

If you’d like a customized session, we are happy to work with you to design content that best supports your students.
How It Works

Request a Presentation. Submit your request at least two weeks in advance to ensure we can accommodate your class.

Choose Your Topic. Select from our list of topics or request a customized session.

Schedule the Visit. A Career Development Center staff member will come to your classroom at the requested time, or we can host your class in our space.
