Former Student Employee Lands Job at Wolfspeed
Dominick Fetters excelled as a student employee in the Career Development Center for 1.5 years. In 2020, he earned his BS in Applied Physics and now just recently graduated with his MS in Engineering Physics in May. Dom applied all the strategies for job search and salary negotiation when applying for full time employment. In May 2021, Dom started his first professional job as a RF Test Engineer with Wolfspeed - a Cree company based in the RTP that manufactures wide bandgap semiconductors.

As a student employee there, I also gained valuable experience working in a high functioning, professional environment, where collaboration and communication is a key to success. Whether it was through working on getting students more aware of the myriad of services and resources available on campus and at the the CDC, working on the Careers.appstate.edu website, or working on projects with other members of the team, the Career Development Center left a positive impact on my educational and future professional career.
