Laura Pell

Associate Director for Employer Relations and Marketing

Laura Pell serves as an Assistant Director for the Career Development Center and a Career Coach for the College of Arts and Sciences. Laura is a two-time graduate from Appalachian State University with a BS in Elementary Education and a MA in Higher Education. Before coming back to Appalachian, Laura worked for Lees-McRae College as the Director of Career Services where she focused on career counseling, employer relations, event planning, and career development in the curriculum. Laura is passionate about working with students individually and in groups to identify their strengths and values, market themselves, and build an action plan for their future. In her free time, Laura loves spending time with her dog, Bear, trying new recipes, attending yoga classes, and exploring the High Country.
