Information for New Mountaineers
Congratulations on your decision to attend Appalachian! The Career Development Center is here for you starting your first day on campus. We want to work with you to help you decide and design the type of life you want to have upon graduation from Appalachian. Your values, academic interests, research curiosity, skills, and work experiences all influence your career journey.
We can help you secure part-time work on campus or in the community, choose a major, and begin connecting with professionals in fields that interest you. And that can all happen in your first semester!
Whether your plan after graduation includes full-time employment, graduate or professional school, service year work, and/or starting your own business, the Career Development Center team of professionals has a toolkit of events, information, and support to help you.
