Our Mission
The Career Development Center empowers students and alumni to select and pursue careers consistent with their values, interests, abilities, experiences, and education. The Career Development Center works to facilitate the University’s goal of economic development for the region.
Our Vision
We provide the resources for all Appalachian students and alumni to learn life-long career development skills and to navigate a rapidly changing global workforce.
Our Services
- Career Fairs- Students meet with over 100 potential employers who are recruiting ASU students.
- Drop-Ins- A 10-15 minute meeting with a counseling professional.
- Individualized Counseling- on self-managed career development.
- Mock Interviews- Practice your interview skills with employers, counseling professionals, or online.
- On-campus interviews- for job and internship opportunities.
- Resume clinics- Students receive on the spot resume feedback from our career counselors.
- Student Computer Lab- A quiet place for students to work on resumes, career research, and Career Gear.
- Workshop Request- students & faculty may request presentations for ASU classes, clubs, & organizations.
