Each year, Teach For America selects a diverse corps of individuals who have the skills and commitment to make a real impact on the academic prospects of students growing up today in low-income communities, and to exert long-term leadership in the effort to eliminate educational inequity.
Teach For America trains all corps members during a rigorous pre-corps summer training program; places them as teachers with full salary and benefits in urban and rural public schools; and continues to support them through a two-year professional development program to ensure their success as teachers and beyond.
Both elementary and secondary positions are available in a wide variety of locations all over the United States.
In addition to a full salary, the positions feature full health benefits and possible loans/grants/Americorps Education Awards based on need.
